Why book direct at Cedar Lodge

No fee is added between the price you see and the total you pay

The nightly rate is the whole rate we charge. The only thing added on top is Plumas County’s own tax, an occupancy tax and a tourism district assessment, both shown on the booking page before you pay, not sprung on you at checkout. There is no booking fee, no resort fee, and no cleaning fee anywhere on this site. A platform listing the same room typically adds a service fee on top of whatever nightly rate is shown, which is money that never reaches us and never needed to leave your pocket in the first place.

Two cancellation rights, and both are yours

Ours: free cancellation until 48 hours before check in. Inside 48 hours we charge the first night and refund the rest. That is our own policy and it applies to every booking equally. We do not sell a non refundable rate at any price.

California’s: if you book three or more days ahead, state law gives you a second, separate right to cancel free within 24 hours of your confirmation, for any reason, refunded within 30 days. It does not apply to a booking made inside 72 hours of arrival, and on a last minute booking our own 48 hour policy governs from the moment you book. What booking direct does not get you, yet

We would rather tell you this than let the rest of this page oversell it. Booking direct today books a room type, the house, or an RV site, not a specific room number or a specific numbered pad. We are mapping the property, room by room and pad by pad, on 30 September 2026, and a proper pick your own spot tool comes after that survey, not before it. Tell us your rig length or any specific need when you book, and we will not put you somewhere it does not fit, but which exact door you walk through is not yet something a booking guarantees, direct or otherwise.
