Rates and policies

The rate you see is the rate we charge. Plumas County adds its tax on top, and we would rather show you that arithmetic here than let it surprise you at checkout.

What a night costs

Per night, plus 9% Plumas County occupancy tax and 3% Plumas County Tourism District assessment. Both stop after 30 nights.

Longer stays work the same way. Two nights in a motel room is $250.00, plus $22.50 occupancy tax and $7.50 tourism district: $280.00 at checkout.

What we do not add

There is no resort fee, no booking fee and no cleaning fee. The only things added to the rates above are the two county taxes, which the county sets and we collect. California requires an advertised price to include every mandatory charge. We would show it this way regardless.

One charge is optional and it is the only one: if you bring a dog, we add $20 a night. Nothing else on this page depends on what you tick.

House policies

Six of them, kept simple on purpose. These are what we run today, and if one changes, this page changes first.

Check in

After 4 PM.

Check out

10 AM from a room or the house. Noon from an RV site.

Quiet hours

10 PM to 6 AM.

Smoking

No smoking.

Minimum stay

One night.

Dogs

Up to two dogs, 70 lbs or less, at $20 a night.

A service animal is not a pet. The dog limits and the nightly charge above do not apply to one, and we never charge for one.

Booking, paying and cancelling

No card is taken on the booking page yet. We hold your dates and email you to confirm.

There are two separate cancellation rights here and both of them are yours.

Ours: free cancellation until 48 hours before check in. Inside 48 hours we charge the first night and refund the rest. That is our own policy and it applies to every booking equally. We do not sell a non refundable rate.

California's: book three or more days ahead and you can cancel free within 24 hours of your confirmation, for any reason, refunded within 30 days. That one is statutory. It does not apply to a booking made inside 72 hours of arrival, and on a last minute booking our own 48 hour policy governs from the moment you book.

Before you book, if you have access needs

Nothing at Cedar Lodge has been measured against an accessibility standard. So we will not tell you that a room, a site or a route between them is accessible, because nobody has measured it and a guest who arrives to find otherwise has been badly let down.
